Mission No-Kill 2021

Organized by CARE of South Bend

Mission No-Kill 2021
With your help, we are working toward the daywhen no SBACC cat or dog of reasonable health and temperament is killed merelybecause he or she does not have a home. We are delighted that SBACC has secured the necessary funding for theconstruction of the new (and badly needed) facility.

The building willtriple the size of our holding space and provide safe and sterile (non-porous)kennels for the over 4,000 animals we care for every year. The new shelter willbe a warm and welcoming facility with many exciting contemporary features.

Prospective petparents will enjoy the new visiting room where families can visit with ouranimals on a one on one basis in order to develop what we hope will be a lifelong bond. Dogs will enjoy spacious new kennels built with modern, newmaterials to keep their surfaces clean and disease free. Cats will enjoysizable cages and the peace and quiet of their very own cat room.

The new facilitywill also feature our very own spay and neuter surgery suite. With the surgicalsuite on-site, it will be our goal to have every animal sterilized before theyleave our facility. In the future, we hope to offer low cost spay and neuterclinics for pet owners in our community.

Will you make acontribution to help us purchase the surgical equipment for the spay/neutersuite? For $17,995 we will be able to purchase a refurbished spay/neuterpackage that includes everything from the anesthesia machine to the autoclave. It would be our privilege to recognize every donor contributing $25 or more byplacing your name on a plaque outside the surgery suite.

We hope you willjoin us in celebrating the construction of a new animal shelter for the City ofSouth Bend. We believe that this new facility represents a significant stepforward for all the residents of our community, both great and small.
